Sustainability for your business

Our vision for the future is a world where our people are safe, our planet thrives, and our business continues to produce high quality, minimum-impact products as part of a circular economy. 01

A growing selection of our Robuck products are made with recycled components. When you purchase these, you are helping to re-use some of the world's existing waste.

02

We partner with ImpacTex to provide an end-of-life solution for our garments. By helping you set up a textile recycling programme, we can together ensure that the garments your team uses don’t end up in landfills. Items that can be reused are made available to charities, social enterprises, and nonprofits, to utilise as they need, free of charge. Items that are no longer fit for wear are broken down into different materials and fabrics to be recycled. The textiles are mainly shredded into super-fine, cushion-like fibres that can be used for pillows, insulation, furniture, and more.

03

When working with Leedsafe, you know your supply chain is environmentally and ethically responsible. Our partnership ensure we reduce waste as much as possible and that we are sourcing our products ethically.

04

Using our SmartSystems reduces your freight emissions by only having one order per month to replenish your stock.

05

We support charities contributing to the wellbeing of our communities and the environment.

Our actions today, protect the world tomorrow

Aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are an ambitious, integrated framework seeking to address the global and societal challenges we’re currently facing.

As we have solidified our commitment to sustainability over the years, we have identified four key UN SDGs that align with our future goals. These SDGs guide our decision making around sustainability initiatives, and we have aligned Leedsafe’s sustainability vision with these goals, which combat poverty, inequality and injustice, and climate change.

This ensures our efforts to reduce our company’s impact are in line with an international approach to create a better world.

Innovating the future of safetywear

Robuck prioritises using recycled materials and sustainable processes to provide high-quality products that protect both workers and the environment.

By incorporating ocean bound plastics into many of our Robuck products, we minimise waste, reduce our carbon footprint, and contribute to a circular economy.

We are currently reviewing all our garment product lines, with the target to include recycled fabrics in 40% of our products by 2030.

Our partnership allows us, and our clients, to mitigate the environmental consequences of end-of-life or abandoned textiles. Textile waste is one of New Zealand’s fastest-growing waste streams, with around 220 million kilograms of clothing and textile waste being dumped in New Zealand landfills every year. As an ImpacTex partner we not only collect our own textiles to be recycled, we also help our clients to do the same, connecting them with ImpacTex and setting up systems to streamline the process at their locations.

Kilmarnock Enterprises

Kilmarnock Enterprises is an Ōtautahi Christchurch-based social enterprise creating employment and development opportunities for Kiwis with intellectual disabilities.

We proudly partner with Kilmarnock Enterprises by donating PPE that can not be sold, but is still usable. This not only reduces waste of products, but supports the work Kilmarnock Enterprises are doing to build a sustainable working future for their team.

With an average of $52,000 of PPE provided annually, we have donated over $260,000 worth of Leedsafe product to date.
